Green tea, almonds, spices, milk, and sugar simmered together according to a Kashmiri recipe (sugar not included in chai mix). Also known as gulabi chai (pink tea), this aromatic brew turns pink during brewing because of oxidation. This version is spicier than the Pink Chai, with added ginger and pepper. One package makes a 1/2 gallon of chai blend, enough for about one gallon of chai with milk or milk substitute.
