Guricha

  The leaves of this tea have an intense fragrance of fresh cut grass and a delicate flavor that is vegetal, buttery, sweet and mellow with no astringency. Guricha is known to be milder and much less astringent than a typical sencha. 

  Guricha means "curly tea" and is processed in the same way as sencha, but without the final kneading and reshaping that gives sencha leaves their classic needle look. Omitting this step results in comma shaped leaves and a unique flavor profile.
